The sacrament of baptism is celebrated as part of morning worship and if you would like your baby to be baptised, please get in touch with the minister to discuss possible dates before making any other arrangements. There are some Sunday services where it may not be possible, for a variety of reasons, to include the sacrament of baptism. Services of thanksgiving and blessing are also possible for those parents who prefer not to take the solemn vows of baptism but who would none the less wish to give thanks to God for the new addition to their family.
Stepps Parish church is happy to offer you the use of the church and the services of the minister if you would like to get married here. We appreciate that dates are often booked well in advance and the church diary can accommodate these. “Getting married in Stepps Parish church” should give you the basic information and the contact information you will need.
If you would like to hold a funeral service in the church, please contact the Minister in the first instance to find out who is available to conduct it for you and when. A service in the church can precede either a committal at Daldowie crematorium or a burial in the cemetery Bedlay Cemetery. You might also want to consider holding a thanksgiving service for the life of your family member after a committal at the crematorium. The local funeral directors are Lynch & McCarry, Edward Lee & Sons, J&D Lawson and Co-Operative FuneralCare
