Worship with us
Stepps Parish Church is a Church of Scotland congregation called to serve Stepps, Cardowan, Millerston, Crowwood and Frankfield Loch. This website is a window into our Christian Family Life.
The congregation meets at 10am on Sunday mornings with Sunday Club joining for the first part of worship. On occasions all age worship will be held when there is no formal reflection and worship is activities based, similar to a Messy Church approach. Regular worship generally follows the revised common lectionary, and praise is led by a pipe organ, digital piano and occasionally a small choir, soloist or instrumentalist. There is a regular paid organist/ pianist supporting worship alongside occasional contributions from others in the congregation. Musical resources are primarily CH4 with use of mission praise, known unknown, Fischy music and streamed videos of more contemporary worship music to echo the worship theme. There are currently no evening services.
Communion is held on the first Sunday in March, June, September and February as part of the main service.
Special services throughout the year include Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, Remembrance Day, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. In addition, during regular worship the congregation celebrates Christian Aid week, Sunday Club prizegiving, Boys’ Brigade dedication, harvest thanksgiving, and Christmas gift services.
Why not come visit and join us as we gather to worship each Sunday at 10am.
If you can’t join us in person our Worship Service is live streamed on our YouTube channel.
